Job Description: Reporting to the Sr Manager SOCC and Planning or their Designate, the Crew Planner is responsible for a variety of functions revolving around crew planning including crewing levels and vacation assignment, crew travel and accommodation, and guidance for the crew schedulers. The job functions require a high level of expertise with crew scheduling software and interaction and coordination with co-workers, crew members other company departments. Job Responsibilities: Ensure monthly days off are assigned Assist in staff planning and crewing level recommendations; and Analyze future schedules for crewing and budget impacts; In conjunction with the Pilot and Inflight training departments assist in the development and scheduling of all classroom, ground, and simulator training; Attend planning and scheduling meetings; Build monthly crew rosters according to the CARs, COM, FRMS and Collective Agreements Enter monthly schedules into the operating system Such other duties as assigned by the company from time to time. Ensure that aircrew vacation is allocated annually by being responsible for the preparation, dissemination and collection of the vacation bid package; Build monthly pairings in compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), Company Operations Manual (COM), Fatigue Risk Management System (FRMS), and other policies and procedures as applicable; Job Requirements: Ability to work in stressful environment and manage multiple tasks effectively; Excellent interpersonal communication, organizational and time management skills; Demonstrated knowledge of the CARs; Intermediate level of proficiency using Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Clear criminal record check; and Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction.
