Job Description: As a Barclays Network Engineer you will work in Infrastructure Services, this is the central team that develops and supports IT infrastructure of the bank. It is built up from a variety of teams including Hosting services, Collaboration services and service management which you will work alongside on a daily basis. You will supply quality network operational support and analytical skills to Barclays Business & Technical areas as a member of the EMEA Network Support team. Job Responsibilities: Ensuring all tasks are recorded and completed in a professional and structured manner You will assess any existing network device and review / amend as required in a controlled manner Taking key decisions in respect of the impact of any fault or change on users and existing infrastructure You will be capable of liaising with other technology business areas and 3rd party vendors in pursuit of resolving the problem or communicating progress Assessing the network via the use of knowledge you will use available tools to identify and resolve faults You will identify possible network affecting situations, faulty hardware or logical problems Job Requirements: Experience of network support within a large institution Qualified Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Working knowledge of the following routing & bridging protocols: (BGP, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, Etherchannel) Working knowledge of Firewall platforms and Load Balancing platforms Qualification & Experience: Hands-on experience with the design of multi-national enterprise switched and Layer 3 LAN’s Experience of working within a large multiple-site, multi-protocol LAN & WAN Working knowledge and design of multicast enabled LAN/WANs Qualified Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Job Details: Company: Barclays Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Functions: Information Technology Job Location: Knutsford, GB Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here yours-vacancy.net
