Performs supervisory duties at least 25% of the time. Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integration of the timber management plan with other resources and activities. Review and appraise timber resources to meet demand and future needs. Document work progress and accountability of timber resource program activity for a timber management program. Oversee the timber sale preparation program for consistency with transportation and silvicultural plans. Prepare and assemble appraisal packets for a timber management program. Negotiate or direct changes in operations for timber management contracts. Inspect logging operations to ensure fulfillment of silvicultural objectives for a timber program. Adjust cutting plans to ensure protection of watershed, esthetic, and wildlife values for a timber management program. Establish timber sale program and production goals, priorities, and work schedules for a timber management program. Prepare timber sale contracts for a timber management program.
