Job Description: Processes Equipment, Functional Location and/or Material Master requests timely and accurately. Provides training on creating/revising Equipment/Material Masters using the Master Data System (MDS) and Equipment Management Form (EMF) to end users, at the plant or via SKYPE/phone. Supports various Valero Projects by quickly performing duties as requested. Supports E-Catalog processes as requested. Works in a customer driven group where the refineries, ethanol plants and terminals are our priority. Adheres to Commitment to Excellence Management (CTEMS) standards. Job Responsibilities: Processes new, change and deletion equipment and functional location requests for vessels, heat transfer, mechanical, civil, piping, instrumentation, electrical, and any other equipment data from all refineries, ethanol plants and pipeline/terminals adhering to CTEMS and Plant Guidelines on proper taxonomy and format. Processes new, change and extend material master requests for OEM parts, piping, instrumentation, electrical, safety and mill tool supplies, etc. from all refineries, renewable plants and pipeline/terminlals. Collects and evaluates information obtained from plant engineering, maintenance and materials management areas as well as technical drawings and descriptions from equipment manufacturers to develop correct material master descriptions based on Valero syntax rules. Provides customer support and internal consulting services to all sites facilitating the Equipment, Functional Locations and Material Master creation/change process. Converts newly acquired facility’s Equipment and Functional Locations into the Valero Taxonomy per CTEMS guidelines and existing processes. Analyzes master data and standardizes material master descriptions per Valero syntax to eliminate duplicate, replicate and obsolete material part numbers. Provides training on the creation, extension, and deletion of Material Master, Equipment and Functional Location master records. Maintains Service Master data along with price updates per Vendor by site as requested by Contract Manager. Supports site’s efforts to implement and maintain Material Master Info Records and Fixed Source Lists. Supports efforts to implement and maintain supplier E-Catalogs in MDM which consists of validating Material Groups, ascertaining they follow Valero AMLs, creating cross-references between suppliers and updating Material Master records with current supplier information. Supports various Valero projects while still performing daily work duties in a timely manner.
