Job Responsibilities: Internship opportunities will be available in the areas of Domestic Planning, Scheduling, and Strategy. Tasks will vary by group and may involve the following: Contributing to the development and execution of strategic projects to help shape United’s Domestic network strategy Collaborating with team to help guide the strategic direction and growth of the U.S./Canada route network Working on hypothesis-driven problem-solving of United’s critical strategic challenges Regularly evaluating airline industry trends and their impact on our strategy Analyzing market forces like demand patterns, yield developments and other economic conditions Fleeting, flowing and gating of flights as part of our ongoing scheduling process Building financial models to evaluate various strategic opportunities Analyzing our competitive environment and benchmark United against other airlines Assisting in the improvement of our systems, tools, and regular data processing Working as part of our team on day to day business, or independently on special projects Job Requirements: Must be a current undergraduate/graduate student graduating in 2025 and pursuing a degree in Business, Finance/Economics, Transportation/Logistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related area of study Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to handle simultaneous projects and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint Intellectual curiosity, desire to learn, ability to take initiative Intern duration is 12 weeks during Summer 2021 Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position Job Details: Company: United Airlines Careers Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Chicago, IL, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here yours-vacancy.net
