As an Asset Protection associate, you will drive store sales and profitability by educating store associates and the leadership team on how to properly and securely protect store assets, while delivering the best customer service experience possible. You’ll show teams how to adhere to Belk’s asset protection standards and hold one another accountable to do the right thing. Our Asset Protection teams are observant and curious; making them a crucial party of our store’s success story. More importantly, you will work closely on a team that cares for our customers in an environment where we thrive by winning together. Job Responsibilities: Continuous Learning & Innovation: Providing Excellent Customer Service: Successfully complete all Asset Protection training requirements. Offering assistance to the customer proactively and without prompt. Proactively greeting and engaging customers warmly and with a smile. Have knowledge of and maintain strict compliance with the law and company policies concerning apprehensions, searches and seizures, and the preservation of evidence. Understanding Store Assortment (for assigned department). Maintain personal certifications as required by law. Job Requirements: Monitor assigned high shortage areas including but not limited to receiving and jewelry. Focusing on Results: Prepare prompt and complete reports relative to all theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, audits, and other activities as assigned by Asset Protection. Use two-way communication devices to maintain contact with Asset Protection Associates to ensure store safety. Qualification & Experience: Working professionally and pleasantly with co-workers, customers, and managers to accomplish defined tasks. May perform audit functions as assigned. Professionally represent Belk by meeting the Store Security Associate dress code. Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
